What is IronRod?

IronRod is a social scripture study platform. Read the scriptures, highlight meaningful passages, share your thoughts, and see what resonates with the people you love.

How It Works

Step 1

Read

Browse the full scripture library — Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price. Navigate by volume, book, and chapter.

Step 2

Highlight

Select any verse text to highlight it. Add a comment to capture what stood out to you. Your highlights are saved to your profile and visible to people who follow you.

Step 3

Share

Follow friends and family to see their highlights in your feed. Reply to their highlights to start a conversation. Build a community around the word of God.

Features

Scripture Library

All five volumes of scripture are available to read chapter by chapter, with easy navigation between chapters and books.

Highlighting & Comments

While reading, select any text to create a highlight. Add your thoughts as a comment and decide whether others can reply. You can edit or delete your highlights at any time. Other users' highlights appear alongside the text as you read the same passages.

Social Feed

Your feed shows recent highlights from people you follow, newest first. Reply to highlights to share your own perspective. Use the “Follow People” search to discover other users by name or username.

User Profiles

Each user has a profile page showing their bio and recent highlights. You can choose to require approval before someone can follow you, giving you control over who sees your study notes.

Family Accounts

Parents can create child accounts for younger family members directly from their settings. Child accounts log in with just a username and password — no email required.

  • Parental visibility — Parents can view their child's highlights and activity from their own dashboard.
  • Follow request approval — Parents approve or deny follow requests on behalf of their children, so you control who can see your child's study notes.
  • Hidden from search — Child accounts don't appear in the public user search, adding an extra layer of privacy.
  • Promotion — When a child is ready, parents can promote their account to a full standard account with their own email and full independence.

Getting Started

Create an account with your email, choose a username, and you're ready to go. Once signed in, open any chapter, select some text, and make your first highlight.
